Dear Children’s Book Publishers,

MailWe’d like to know where all the books about homeschoolers are!  Yes, twenty years ago homeschooling might not have been in the mainstream, but today there are millions upon millions of homeschoolers.  And who do you think those students want to read about?  That’s right – - themselves!  While the settings of books with children in traditional schools is confined pretty much to the classroom, the WORLD is the classroom of the homeschooler, and that means opportunities for exciting settings, plotlines, and characters!  So please, dear children’s book publishers, hear our cry:

WE WANT MORE BOOKS ABOUT HOMESCHOOLERS!!!

Sincerely Yours,
The Large and Growing Homeschooling Community

Ok, so maybe that’s not exactly the letter we would write to the powers-that-be at the large children’s publishing houses, but it’s a start.  If you are tired of wondering “Where are all the books about homeschoolers?”, then maybe it is time to take action.  Why not contact your favorite publishers and remind them that we as homeschoolers are a large part of their consumer base and that we would like to see more books that reflect our unique lifestyles and educational choices?

To make it even easier for you, we’re providing the websites and contact information for several of the top children’s book publishers!  So take a minute today and let your voice – - your homeschooler’s voice – - be heard.
