Book Summary: After they lose their jobs, eleven-year-old Michael’s parents decide to live a dream and sail around the world (with Michael, of course). All goes well, until one night Michael is blown off the boat and missing-assumed-dead by everyone but his mother, who presses on in search of him. She finds him, months later — months he has spent living an island life that is in many ways beautiful and valuable, but haunted by the forced separation from his family and the knowledge that they must think he drowned.
